People never understand, nor do they really try. Each person's experiences are incomprehensible to any other being. What may be viewed as illicit and terrible by the viewer, may be necessary and saving to the participant. None of us have th right to judge, yet we are continually scrutinized, labeled, and as a result victimized. You, me, him, her...all victims of someone else's preconceived notion of black and white, right and wrong, good and bad.

Those short periods of time in any one person's life we judge most harshly are but a fraction of them. As they behave in a manner unacceptable to our views, they have been branded forever.

I, like everyone, have been marked, and instead of feeling ashamed and miserable, I am proud and strong. These are someone else's notions forced upon me, and I refuse to accept them. Therefore, I will make them my own, and make them something worthy of me. I will not be held down by anyone other than myself.
